First 2019-20 Math Circle meeting on 8/17/2019
What We Do:
Walnut Valley Math Circle provides weekly meetings for kids to work on math problems and prepare for math competitions such as the American Math Contest (AMC), and MathCounts. WVMC believes that every child should have a chance to experience the beauty of advanced and challenging math that he or she is not exposed to in traditional schools . The meetings are completely free for all interested students from 5th grade to 8th grade.

Walnut Valley Math Circle is open to every kid from 5th grade to 8th grade.

The AMC 8 is a 25-question, 40-minute, multiple choice examination in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The contest is held in November every year.
MathCounts is a national middle school coaching and competitive mathematics program that promotes mathematics achievement through a series of fun and engaging "bee" style contests.
